3D Printer Resin Instructions, Cure times and Precautions

 1.LCD printer

(1).LCD castable & elastic resin: Set bottom layer 60-80s and each layer exposure time 12-18s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: LCD printer with 1mW/cm2, 70S for the bottom plate, and 15S for each layer.

(2) .LCD jewelry mold resin, teeth model, gingival mask: Set bottom layer 40-60s and each layer exposure time 4-12s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: LCD printer with 1mW/cm2, 50S for the bottom plate, and 8S for each layer.

(3) .LCD flexible resin: Set bottom layer 40-60s and each layer exposure time 4-12s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: LCD printer with 1mW/cm2, 45S for the bottom plate, and 6S for each layer.

(4) . LCD tough resin and low odor series resin: Set bottom layer 40-60s and each layer exposure time 4-12s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: LCD printer with 1mW/cm2, 50S for the bottom plate, and 8S for each layer.

(5)  High tenacity resin: Set bottom layer 40-60s and each layer exposure time 4-12s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: LCD printer with 1mW/cm2, 40S for the bottom plate, and 5S for each layer.

(6) High transparent resin: Set bottom layer 40-60s and each layer exposure time 4-12s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: LCD printer with 3mW/cm2, 50S for the bottom plate, and 14S for each layer.

(7) Dental surgical guide resin: Set bottom layer 40-60s and each layer exposure time 4-12s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: LCD printer with 1mW/cm2, 60S for the bottom plate, and 11S for each layer.

  1. DLP printer

(1) . DLP dental series resin: Set bottom layer 10-15s and each layer exposure time 2-8s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: DLP printer with 20mW/cm2, 15S for the bottom plate, and 3.5S for each layer.

(2) . DLP jewelry series resin: Set bottom layer 10-15s and each layer exposure time 2-8s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: DLP printer with 20mW/cm2, 15S for the bottom plate, and 3.5S for each layer.

(3) . DLP standard resin: Set bottom layer 10-15s and each layer exposure time 1-8s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: DLP printer with 20mW/cm2, 12S for the bottom plate, and 2.2S for each layer.

(4) .DLP high transparent resin: Set bottom layer 10-15s and each layer exposure time 1-8s for layer thickness at 50 μm, . The exposure time should be adjusted according to the projection light power of the printer. For example: DLP printer with 20mW/cm2, 12S for the bottom plate, and 2.2S for each layer.

 、 About Cleaning Process

1.Jewelry and dental castable resin jobs: Spray with Isopropanol, then blow resin away with cool wind, prepare two containers with Isopropanol (alcohol> 95%), and place the jobs into the first container and slightly shake it, then soak in the second container for about 1 minute (dental resin should not exceed 30 seconds), flush with water before dry it, do make it sure it ‘s 100% dried as residuary alcohol may cause white spot or crack on jobs. Do not use ultrasonic for cleaning. Dental resin jobs are recommended to be cleaned before take off from the platform to avoid deformation.

  1. In addition to the above method, the LCD tough resin jobs can be washed with an aqueous solution of dish-washing detergent, adding an appropriate amount of detergent into water, immersing the jobs there in, brush it gently with a soft brush, and then drying it with cold air.

  About Post-Curing

  1. The curing time is proportional to the volume of the workpiece and inversely proportional to the optical power of the curing chamber. Example: 150 watt LED curing box, jewelry jobs is recommended to be cured with soaking in water for 20-30 minutes.

  1. The post-cure time of dental casting resin, dental non-casting resin and jewelry mold resin shall not more than 5 minutes.

  1. Dental work-pieces should be protected from extrusion during post-curing to prevent deformation.

4.Tough resin do not require post cure.

  Various precautions regarding the resin:

  1. Storage environment: Store in cool and dry place, and avoid sunlight, recommended temperature at 25-30 degrees Celsius.

  1. Preparation before use: Shake the resin well and leave it for 30 minutes before use. Allow to stand for 30 minutes to eliminate air bubbles that generated during the shaking process.

  1. Environmental conditions during use: The ambient temperature is recommended to be controlled at 25-30 degrees Celsius, and during the printing should avoid daylight.
