The Wanhao GR2 is the successor to the very popular D6. It´s a sleek and modern printer with benefits such as wifi and app for remote use.
Heated build plate
The Gr2 is equipped with a 6mm thick aluminum steel plate for best performance. Thanks to the very thick plate the heat distribution is extremely good.
The top layer consists of a special material (black sheet) that helps your prints stick to the surface. After you have successfully finished your print and let the plate cool down, the black sheet makes it very easy to remove.
Monitor your print
Thanks to the built in 2K camera you can always keep an eye on your current print. If something should go wrong, you can use the app to pause or abort the print.
Manage with the app
With the app that you can download from Wanhao* you can monitor, change settings, start/stop/abort a print.
You also have the possibility to start a print from the file library stored on the printer.
MK10 extruder
The well know, and very proven MK10 extruder is a reliable extruder that has been used on many printer models. It has a wide range of different nozzles that you can use, brass (standard), hardened steel, ruby - take your pick.
Dual gears
The MK10 have in this configuration dual drive gears. This makes the filament feed in a very even and steady flow. It also helps you if you sometime would like to try flexible filament.
Sturdy and classical construction
The construction in steel makes the GR2 a very stable platform which is important because it reduces the most common problem that causes vibrations, namely light weight constructions. Vibrations is a 3D Printers worst enemy as the result is bad prints. Luckily the GR2 don´t have that problem.

The Wanhao edition of Cura is delivered with the printer. This software is the most used in the world. Easy to use and produces stunning results. If you would prefer to use SimpliFy3D instead it´s good to know that the GR2 is fully compatible.
